This beautiful soft yellow dress by @becandbridge needed the hem shortened. As with most of our evening gowns, we pinned the whole hem circumference to ensure we get a beautiful and even hem length, then finished the rolled hem as original 🥰🥰

A really fun @boss suit we recently worked on! This suit was made out of a Lycra fabric, such a cool spin on a tailored suit, perfect for summer events! We shortened the sleeve from the shoulder and shortened the pants with a cuffed finish, really elevating that summer feel!

Our client came in with this lovely Zimmermann dress that had ongoing issues with the zip getting stuck and breaking - quite a common issue with cross seams in fitted styles. We were able to match a great nylon zip to inset as narrow as possible, giving a clean look but with more added strength and functionality 👏🏼👏🏼

Here’s a a great alterations and styling tip for smock dresses or boxy garments: Crop the sleeves! We altered this cute little smock dress for @kiayagd including shortening the length through multiple panels and shortening the sleeve. This cropped sleeve length allows for some skin to be shown at the wrists, lightening the feel of the piece and not letting a full-fabric garment smother the wearer 👌👌

She wanted to make it into a skirt instead, which we were thrilled to assist with! We marked the length, cut and refinished the waist with an internal facing, conducted a second fitting where we took in the waist a little and presto, she has a new skirt! 😍
